Needless to say, this album and band needs no introduction. We have had the pleasure of working with Cliff and pressing this on procassette some years back (SOLD OUT QUICK). Unrest Records has now been working with him and reissuing all of his work from Driller Killer to Anti-Cimex and of course BLACK UNIFORMS. True early metal punk. Heavy and brutal riffs with that true sweedish hardcore. These reissues have been, by far, justifying to the music! So cop a copy now! We have limited stock of both the '12 and the double LP with the bonus early demos.
BLACK UNIFORMS were a Swedish hardcore band during the golden age of such music. With members serving time in MODERAT LIKVIDATION, BRISTLES, and later in ANTI CIMEX and DRILLER KILLER, BLACK UNIFORMS plays thrashing, metal-soloed Swedish D-beat by the ultimate SPLATTER PUNX…On Acid!! With plenty of psychedelic moments, motör-charged punk ’n’ roll, leather-reeking anthemic riffs, and obscured horror movie samples—BLACK UNIFORMS play with a grandiose Swedish vocal power, loaded with influences from the legendary Discharge and lethal doses of 80’s heavy metal and thrash. If your heart beats punk vitriol and breath smells like greasy metal this album is for you!! Splatterpunx On Acid is officially licensed from Cliff Lundberg and a blessing from Hardcore Holocaust who originally put this selectively chosen compilation together and unleashed its fury in 2001. This Unrest Records reissue was remastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege Studios and pressed on 180g vinyl in a hand numbered gatefold jacket including a huge poster and lyric insert containing the bands wild history of disarray and disturbance! Cover art zombified by Jack Matisse at Apocalypse Tattoo @jackmattise (Berlin, DE). This limited 2xLP edition contains a bonus 12” with remastered, unreleased demos from 1982 & 1983 containing early teenage outbursts of seething anger never before heard on vinyl!!
